About Us
  • Jan Bannister is a Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor through the N.C.C.A. (National Christian Counselors Association).  She has an M.A. in Education from the University of Northern Colorado and worked in education and residential treatment with emotionally handicapped children for more than 10 years.  Jan is currently attending St. Petersburg Theological Seminary to obtain a Masters in Counseling and with plans to become licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist.
Jan and her husband Tom have been married for 30 years.  They have a 21 year old birth daughter.  They have also experienced the heartbreak of caring for an adopted child who was unable to receive their love due to a history of rejection and neglect.

  • Maria Elena Gustin is a Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor through N.C.C.A. as well. She has her BA and MA in Christian Counseling through Cornerstone University. Additionally, she has worked as a Registered Nurse since 1979, primarily in the areas of Women and Children’s Health, Inpatient Obstetrics and Acute Inpatient Psychiatry. Maria has been married for 21 years to Gary, and has a 19 year old birth son, Michael. She is also fluent in Spanish.

  • Jan and Maria have worked together for many years leading their church’s children’s ministry. They have been mentored by well known Psycho-educational Consultant, Patty McLaughlin, who has worked in the field of adoption for over 20 years. Both are continuing to pursue additional educational and training opportunities in order to develop and maximize techniques and methods that will best serve their clients. They both feel that learning is an ongoing process, always to be sought, pursued, challenged and treasured.
